Coach Mitchell has been coaching youth sports for more than 25 years. This is his seventh season coaching boys high school lacrosse.  Chad coached defense at Three Rivers for three years (2011 - 2013).  Each of these years Three Rivers made the playoffs.  Chad has been the head coach of the Richland Lacrosse Club since its formation in 2014.  In 2016, Coach Mitchell’s varsity team made it to the State Finals.  Richland is the first team from Eastern Washington to play for a high-school state championship (DII).  Fifteen of Coach Mitchell’s players have gone on to play college lacrosse (NCAA DII; MCLA DI, DII).  Coach Mitchell played his high school sports at Richland High.  During his senior year (1991), he was an All-State Football Player, Big Nine Defensive Player of the Year, and a team captain.

Coach Mitchell likes to believe he still holds some Bomber football records. He had the opportunity to be coached by a litany of Bomber greats:  Lonnie Pierson, Jim Castleberry, Ben Jacobs, Scott Woodward, Frank Teverbaugh, Mike Niedhold, and Bruce Robertson.  When asked about playing lacrosse growing up, Coach Mitchell notes that it was an east-coast thing.  “All I knew about lacrosse was that it was one of the sports that Jim Brown played.”  Coach Mitchell and his lovely, supportive wife Bonnie have 6 kids, all of which have played or are playing lacrosse.

Coach Larry is in his 4th year coaching with the Richland Program. Previously an assistant coach for Varsity and the Head Coach for JV Coach Larry is coaching the 7-8 team this year. Coach Larry was a High School Player who played his freshman and sophomore years in San Diego Ca for Patrick Henry High and his junior and senior years in Wheatridge CO for Wheatridge High. From the moment he picked up a stick as a freshman Coach Larry took to Lacrosse like a duck to water.
Coach Larry was selected to the San Diego All-Star team in his very first year and in his senior year was selected to the Division II Colorado All-State team.  Unfortunately, he never played college lacrosse but has kept that passion for the game all these years. ''It is a privilege to teach others about this game I love so much. Some of the biggest lessons in my life were learned on the lacrosse field. I want to pass those lessons on.''

Coach Colby is entering his 3rd year coaching youth lacrosse, after starting in the Three Rivers program. Colby grew up near Dayton, OH where lacrosse was scarce. He played football, basketball, ran track and threw the shot. During his senior track season, he decided to join his brother on the Wright State University club lacrosse team. He was hooked after the first season and played 4 more years at Wright State.
“I absolutely loved playing lacrosse and knew I'd get involved in coaching one day. We had player-coaches at the club level, and I learned from great players from powerhouse programs in Columbus and Cincinnati. We had a fantastic brotherhood as teammates and more than half our team is coaching today. I was fortunate to develop my lacrosse knowledge from my brother, who started and coached the Fort Collins Unified (CO) program for 17 years." I coach my kids to understand that everyone has a role and can contribute as a player regardless of size, speed, agility, and experience. Making the game fun for our youth ensures they continue playing and growing while enjoying the success from their hard work. We’re looking forward to our first Bomber lacrosse season!

Vlad Tyutyunnik

5-6 Boys Jr Bombers - Assistant Coach

USL 1

This is Coach Vlad’s Second year with Lacrosse coaching. Previously he has helped out with score keeping and keeping track of the players’ stats during the games. Since then he has been intrigued by this great game. Vlad is planning to gain more experience by being around other coaches and working with the players on regular basis throughout the season. Vlad has two sons that play lacrosse.

“I have played football and basketball throughout my school years. Lacrosse being very versatile sport combining many sporting skills, the speed, the coordination, the power, the precision, and the team spirit made me want to be part of this fast-paced and fun sport.”
